The Gothenburg Water Utilization Learning Center was developed to provide answers and solutions to current questions and issues raised in production agriculture. Our focus at the Learning Center is to help growers achieve their yield and productivity goals with an emphasis on water utilization.

The demonstration summary results from the Gothenburg Water Utilization Learning Center in Nebraska are now available and can provide valuable agronomic and technical information to help growers maximize yield potential.

Corn Yield Potential and Row Spacing  

It was thought corn populations should increase with narrower row spacing. There are differences in equipment and the wheel traffic can cause compaction concerns. How yield components are affected by row spacing and whether corn product selection should be changed with row spacing are other questions from farmers.
